The 115th New York International Automobile Show officially opened last weekend with a fun-packed car-nival that included a parade of cars, music, celebrities, giving back and more.
After more than 60 incredible new cars made their debuts during the Show’s press preview days, the New York Auto Show ‘unclicked’ its ceremonial seatbelt with music from The Voice star Jeremy Gaynor and the West Point marching band, an appearance by reigning Miss USA Nia Sanchez, and HBO’s award-winning show The Sopranos star “Paulie Walnuts”. Before a parade of 15 new and classic cars rounded out a morning of excitement and fun to welcome in the 115th New York Auto Show, a specially modified Toyota RAV4 was presented to a wounded veteran.

In addition to a wide range of celebrity appearances and musical performances, the New York International Auto Show’s Opening Day ceremony included a brand new vehicle donation to an Afghanistan War hero Staff Sergeant Alfredo Delossantos of Fishkill, NY who was injured in combat. Toyota and the Auto Show joined forces with the Wounded Warrior Project, a national organization designed to provide help and raise public awareness for injured service members. Delossantos was injured in 2008, and as a result of his injury, is an above-the-knee amputee.
