The SEAT Exeo range continues growing with the arrival of the Multitronic gearbox associated to the Diesel engine range. The Spanish model is now available in showrooms equipped with the 143 hp 2.0 TDI CR engine and the convenient automatic sequential Multitronic gearbox that comes with steering wheel mounted shift paddles. Both the sedan and station wagon Exeo versions are the perfect choice for both executives and families on the go.

One of the main novelties to be found on the Exeo and Exeo ST range is a repositioned rear seat configuration that increases passenger legroom by 44 mm with no reduction in comfort levels or cargo space in the boot.

The SEAT Exeo range includes four petrol engines – the 120 hp 1.8 TSI, the 160 hp 1.8 TSI, the 200 hp 2.0 TSI and the 210 hp 2.0 TSI, as well as three Diesel variants – the 120, 143 and 170 hp 2.0 TDI CR equipped with the DPF particulate filter and common rail technology. They are all mated to a manual six-speed gearbox, except the 143 hp 2.0 TDI CR engine, which can also come equipped with the seven-speed Multitronic gearbox, and the 200 hp 2.0 TSI, which is only available with the automatic Multitronic transmission, and they all comply with strict EU5 emissions legislation.

The Multitronic gearbox for relaxed, effortless motoring
The breakthrough arrival of the Multitronic gearbox to the Exeo Diesel engine range results in the unique combination of the powerfully responsive 143 hp 2.0 TDI CR engine with the convenience of an automatic transmission. This persuasive alternative gives customers relaxed, effortless motoring as well as a rewarding, dynamic driving experience when they want it.

This system uses electronically mapped CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), whose gradual operation is designed to provide nearly infinite gear ratios instead of a distinct number and allows the engine to operate in its most efficient range.

The Exeo sedan equipped with the 143 hp 2.0 TDI CR engine and Multitronic gearbox provides the following magnificent performance levels – a top speed of 208 km/h, 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 9.3 seconds and 1,000 metre acceleration in 30.7 seconds. On the other hand, the figures for the Exeo ST stand at a top speed of 201 km/h, 9.6 seconds for 0 to 100 km/h acceleration and 31.2 seconds to cover a standing kilometre.

Furthermore, the common rail system greatly contributes to delivering better engine performance, considerably low noise levels and reduced fuel consumption and emissions figures. The Exeo and the Exeo ST equipped with the 143 hp 2.0 TDI CR engine and Multitronic gearbox deliver a combined fuel consumption figure of 5.8 l/100 km and 153 g/km of emissions.

The car’s functionally sporty image is enhanced with Multitronic shift paddles mounted within fingertip reach behind the steering wheel for convenient and effortless progress and greater confidence.
